Environmental Improvements - 2003 to 2004

• Air: Paint line 1 achieved the VOC mass emission of 19g/m² against a target of 20g/m². In 2004 the target of 18g/m² was set.
• Land: A reduction of 2.82kg/car of waste to landfill was achieved. There were no significant spills.
• Water: The focus has been on maintaining the stability of the Waste Water Treatment process and improving the operation of the Engine Treatment Facility. This has been achieved.
• Noise: In 2003 there were no noise complaints from local residents. Noise is continuously modelled to reflect site changes.
• Energy: A reduction of 1746kWh/ car of energy consumed was achieved by improving metering, energy information web page for actual time monitoring and by improving energy awareness.
